I liked Dwight Garner’s riff and now I like this, too. This may demonstrate a problem with my own critical faculties. I’m not sure. But Miller does a good job contextualizing the conversation in terms of the generally marginalized status of literary fiction. Would that it were 1949, indeed.
I can’t believe how long this conversation has gone on…
